Nigel W Brown Music Prize
2010 winner:
Lydia Scadding
We are very pleased to announce that the winner of the 2010 Nigel W Brown Music Prize is pianist Lydia Scadding.
The Nigel W Brown Music Prize is an annual competition open to undergraduates of the University of Cambridge. The final round of this year’s competition was held in West Road Concert Hall on Saturday 12 June.
The other finalists in the 2010 competition were Maud Millar (soprano), Kausikan Rajeshkumar (piano), Tristan Hambleton (bass baritone) and Rebecca Greenstreet (violin).
This year’s adjudicators were Dr Martin Ennis, Dr Ruth Davies and Ms Margaret Faultless from the Music Faculty of the University of Cambridge.
As part of the prize, Lydia will perform a concerto with the Cambridge University Chamber Orchestra in 2011. Further details will be posted here soon.
